Sturt Fleurieu provides support and assistance to International Medical Graduates (IMGs) located in practices throughout its rural areas (Adelaide Hills, Murray Mallee, Barossa, Riverland South East regions) to prepare for the RACGP or ACRRM Fellowship exam. This Fellowship Support Program is funded under a joint arrangement with the Rural Doctors Workforce Agency (RDWA).
Resources provided include teleconference clinical tutorials, access to online teaching and course materials, participation in small group workshops under the direction and guidance of a Sturt Fleurieu regional medical educator and financial assistance with participation in training and exam preparation courses.
Resources provided include:
- gp-start - this program provides structured learning and GP specific readings. Available on CD and through online links. READ MORE
- gp-advanced - this is a case based program where GPs discuss cases and present them on a website. GPs are required to develop questions for each case which are in the format of the RACGP exam questions. They are then asked to supply the answers and the research around the subject. Through this process we have developed a large bank of practice exam questions to which we can give you access if you wish. The frequency and method need to be discussed individually. READ MORE
- RACGP Clinical Skills Scenarios DVD
- 'Clinical Cases for General Practice Exams' 2nd edition by Susan Wearne. A useful resource to use in small groups for OSCE preparation. READ MORE
