Work Wrap is a management portfolio, designed to collate all your essential personal documents as well as training documentation that you will use during your time with the Australian General Practice Training Program (AGPT).
Work Wrap is designed to package or ‘wrap’ the registrar ready for work. The folder is a reference point for paper copies of important documents (for example: your latest medical registration certificate, your medical defence insurance certificate and your CV).
There is a lot of paperwork required during your training program, usually relating to the commencement of work in general practice. You will need to reference these documents in some form or another each time you move to a new Practice or undertake additional training units. Sample copies of these documents and web-links to essential electronic documentation that you will need to access are provided on the Work Wrap CD.
You will use these documents when:
- meeting with your GP Supervisor, Practice Manager, Sturt Fleurieu staff or Hospital Supervisor; or
- confirming your placement; or
- negotiating your employment contract; or
- registering to practice as a GP.
The folder should be maintained and updated as new documents become available or change. You will need to keep copies of all completed and signed documents for your own reference. We hope that by using the folder, it will make navigating through the administrative processes associated with general practice placements and starting a new training post a little easier. Please ensure you take this folder with you each time you visit a new practice or training post.
