Practice Location
a) Description of practice location Located in the beautiful leafy township of Stirling in the Adelaide Hills.
b) Health and medical information about the region The Practice sees a wide range of age groups and in middle to high socio-economic area. A high percentage of patients have Private Insurance.
c) Practice type and size 6 Doctors – 3 Male and 3 Female and a Practice Nurse. Special interests include Paediatrics, Minor Surgery, and Counseling and Nutritional medicine. We are a well equipped progressive medical practice approaching our third accreditation. Sessions are 3.5 hours long with 3 Doctors on average working each session. A Treatment room includes equipment for excisions, suturing, cryotherapy and plastering.

a) Access to specialists and other health professionals A wide range of In and Out Patient Specialist Services are offered through the Stirling District Hospital – a local private Hospital. The town is well served with Allied Health Providers and has a local Hostel and Nursing Home. There is the capacity to be involved in Emergency and Hospital work in many ways similar to a rural environment with the convenience and accessibility of city resources.
b) Aspects of medicine in your practice that will be a feature of registrar training Paediatrics, minor surgery, women’s health, aged care.

Normalwork hours The Practice offers consultations from 8.15am – 7.00pm. Each Doctor is required to do one late evening to 7.00pm and one early start from 8.15am. As far as the roster allows, we are a flexible practice. Saturday morning work is rostered between all Doctors.
Home visits Occasionally, as required.
After hours Based on a roster and no more than two per week.
Weekends Based on a roster averaging one in seven weeks.
Hospital Stirling District Hospital (Private) Weekend after hours is based in an Outpatient section of the hospital.
Nursing home visits Occasionally, as required
