Aspects of medicine in your practice that will be a feature of registrar training

Details of practice support
On-site and after-hours supervision to meet professional standards Our registrars are provided with support at all times. Training is based on the registrar's learning plan and includes specific one-on-one training, if required, and depending on their needs observation, discussion, joint consultations, participation in clinical procedures and case analysis. Trainers are enthusiastic and keen to work with the registrar to meet their needs as they arise.
Provision is made for registrars to attend education activities The Practice makes sure that the registrar is provided with adequate rostered time to attend education activities.
Access to clinical resources/reference materials The Practice has a library of resources and reference materials including online reference material.
Adequate consulting space, IT facilities and equipment for registrar Registrars are provided with an individual consulting room, which is rarely used by another doctor or practitioner. Our IT facilities and equipment are up-to-date and well maintained. Dr Rose has an interest in IT so we are always looking at new technology and how it can improve our facilities.
Appropriate space available for teaching purposes Trainers and registrars are given plenty of room to work together as required, with both having large consulting rooms in the building if larger meetings are needed.
