“I took six ecstasy tablets, had 5 caffeine drinks and a bottle of champagne on the weekend.”

This happened at one of my last on calls. This happened at one of my last on calls. The young patient presented with vomiting and had SVT (by the way the treatment of choice in this case is i.v. diazepam as betablockers are contraindicated in this situation).

What I wish I’d known before applying to General Practice
08-05-2012

Read our RLO (Phil Deacon's) blog:

Take a look at your pathway (rural or general) eligibility and the locations that interest you and suit your family/personal commitments as well as your future career goals.  This is really important – it might mean travelling around to check out how far Wuddina or Mt Gambier etc are from your significant others.

Finally, take a deep breath. General Practice training is amazing. If you’re passionate and enthusiastic – as you clearly are to be reading GP application blogs! – then you’ll be fine.
